Children of the Diaspora Exhibition

Multimedia Exhibition curated by Paolo Cesti and Milagros Gonzales depicting immigrant roots in youth in Miami. It focuses on three main themes: "Nostalgia", "Desencuentro/Re-encuentro" and "Orgullo". Ana Rubin is one of the showcased artists, presenting a series of 6 images, a short film, and a film opening. The photo series: Contraste de Tonos (see below) and the film opening Tulipán Sin Agua, were located in the "Nostalgia" isle, while the short film El Costo de La Luna was placed in the "Desencuentro" section. The works chosen showcase the immigration experience of the artists in many senses, from looking back at what was, to the uncertainty, to assimilation.

The exhibition was showcased at the Coral Gables Museum from May 15th, 2021 – May 30th, 2021. Later, it was shown again at the Doral Contemporary Art Museum starting Sept. 25th, 2021.
